Dumping would resume if duties expired on unitized wall modules from China, says CBSA
Tribunal will now determine whether the expiry would likely result in injury to Canadian industry.
On August 27, 2018, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an expiry review of its order made in November 2013 concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain unitized wall modules originating in or exported from China.
Following the Tribunal’s decision the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the finding is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and/or subsidizing of the subject goods.
The CBSA’s investigation has now been completed and the Agency has determined that the expiry of the Tribunal’s order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and subsidizing of the goods exported into Canada.
The Tribunal will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its finding is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry and will issue its decision by July 3, 2019.
