Tribunal finds dumping of concrete reinforcing bar from Oman and Russia threatens Canadian industry

Trade Tribunal will first determine whether the imports are harming Canadian producers

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced its finding that the dumping of concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from Oman and Russia has not caused injury but is threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.

Anti-dumping duties will therefore be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) on importations of these goods from the two countries.

The Tribunal’s inquiry and finding follow the issuance by the President of the CBSA of a final determination of dumping dated June 2, 2021.
