Tribunal amends injury finding on welded large diameter steel line pipe
Imports of certain goods will not cause material injury to the domestic industry
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal has completed the interim review of its finding made on October 20, 2016 in respect of certain welded large diameter carbon and alloy steel line pipe originating in or exported from China and Japan.
Having found that a request for a product exclusion made by a manufacturer in British Columbia will not cause material injury to the domestic industry, the Tribunal amended its finding to exclude the following goods:
Longitudinally submerged arc welded line pipe with a double submerged arc weld, stenciled with grade API 2B whether or not stenciled to any other grade, regardless of outside diameter, with wall thicknesses greater than 1” for exclusive use in production of debarker rotors and marked “For Use in Production of Debarker Rotor Only”.
