CBSA starts dumping investigation on reinforcing bar from Oman and Russia
Trade Tribunal will first determine whether the imports are harming Canadian producers
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), on its own initiative, launched an investigation into whether or not certain concrete reinforcing bar from A from Oman and Russia are being sold at unfair prices in Canada.
In the next step of the investigation the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will first determine, by February 2, 2021, whether the imports are harming Canadian producers.
Concurrently, the CBSA will investigate whether the imports are being sold in Canada at unfair prices and will make a preliminary decision by March 4, 2021.
Anti-dumping duties could eventually be applied to the goods under investigation.
