U.S. sets punitive duties on sodium sulfate anhydrous from Canada

Commerce Department announces its determination in antidumping duty investigation.

The U.S. Department of Commerce announced its affirmative preliminary determination in the antidumping duty (AD) investigation of imports of sodium sulfate anhydrous from Canada.

The Department calculated preliminary dumping rate of 9.85 percent for the mandatory respondent and for all other producers/exporters in Canada.

As a result of the preliminary affirmative determination, Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to require cash deposits from sodium sulfate anhydrous from Canada based on the preliminary rates.

The Department is scheduled to announce its final determination on or about March 10, 2020.
