Tribunal maintains injury finding on thermoelectric containers from China

The Tribunal says resumption of dumping and subsidies would result in injury to Canadian industry.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced the continuation of its 2008 finding concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain thermoelectric containers originating in or exported from China.

In March 2019 the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) had determined that the expiry of the Tribunal’s findings was likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and subsidizing of the subject goods.

The Tribunal found that the resumption of dumping and subsidizing was likely to result in injury to Canadian industry. The CBSA will therefore continue to impose anti-dumping and countervailing duties on this product.
