Temporary closure of the Whirlpool Bridge (NEXUS) in Niagara Falls
Bridge will be closed from April 1 to May 5, 2019, to complete a demolition project on the U.S. side.
The Whirlpool Bridge in Niagara Falls, which is used by NEXUS members to cross the U.S.-Canada border will be closed from April 1 to May 5, 2019, to complete a demolition project on the U.S. side.
During the closure, Canada-bound NEXUS members may use the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge in Niagara-on-the-Lake and/or the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls. Both ports of entry will offer enhanced NEXUS services during this period:
• Queenston-Lewiston Bridge will extend its NEXUS lane hours from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday to Sunday.
• Rainbow Bridge will temporarily operate one NEXUS lane from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday to Sunday.
On the U.S.-bound side, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will have NEXUS lanes open as follows:
• Lewiston – Queenston Bridge 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday to Friday.
• Rainbow Bridge 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Sunday
